Andrew Azzopardi
Andrew's role is to provide expert advice to the Centre's team on all aspects of safeguarding, ensuring that the Centre's work and activities always have appropriate regard to how to prevent harm to children and vulnerable adults.
Andrew is a seasoned safeguarding consultant and manager with over 15 years’ experience working with victims and perpetrators of abuse in sports and faith-based settings, NGOs and INGOs. He led the Football Association’s Safeguarding Case Management team in the UK and worked for the Malta Football Association as a Safeguarding Officer. Alongside his work for the Centre he advises a number of other international organisations and is Coordinator of the Catholic Church Safeguarding Taskforce and heads its Safeguarding Commission.
