Claire Wilton-Magras

Project Manager (Events, Operations, Engagement)

Claire has much versatile office management and business administration experience across a number of international NGOs. Over the years, she has gained a lot of expertise in membership and international relations as well as in event and project management.

She has worked on organising various sporting events and conferences, including the Paralympic Games in London, Sochi and Rio. In addition to her native French, she also speaks English, Spanish and a little German.

Current work

As Project Manager, Claire is responsible for the planning, executing, monitoring and closing out of CSHR in-person and online events (including the Centre’s banner event, the Sporting Chance Forum) and of projects aiming to further develop CSHR’s organisational capacity. She also provides support to the Engagement team by helping strengthen CSHR’s current outreach, membership and relationship management processes and by being the main contact point for some existing and potential members.

Previous experience

Claire studied Languages and International Business in France, Spain and the Netherlands. She first worked as a Trade Certification Analyst and Auditor for the Fairtrade certification body FLO-Cert in Bonn, Germany. She joined the International Paralympic Committee as Communications and Marketing Assistant before becoming the Membership Manager and serving as the main contact at the IPC for National Paralympic Committees and International Sports Federations. She carried out similar activities at the Asian Paralympic Committee prior to joining the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh where she managed events, membership and communications for the Faculty of Pre-Hospital Care.
