A sports professional with work experience in research and policy analysis. Mercy has an interest in a wide range of topics in sports integrity such as governance, safeguarding, diversity and inclusion, competition manipulation and anti-doping.
As the research intern, Mercy is assisting in developing a project on effective remedy for human rights violations in sport.
Education and Experience
She recently graduated with a distinction in the Erasmus Joint Master in Sport Ethics and Integrity from KU Leuven, Belgium. Her thesis was on the wellbeing of children in sport in Kenya with a focus on child safeguarding policy and practice in athletics and football. Before CSHR, she worked with the Athletics Integrity Unit (AIU) as an intern in the Intelligence and Investigations department. She is currently serving as the advocacy focal point in the Commonwealth Youth Sport for Development and Peace (CYSDP).
